【11 December, 2022 | Hong Kong】International MotorXpo Hong Kong (IMXHK) 2022, an annual iconic automotive event of the city, has come to a successful conclusion today.

Under the theme of “Mobility+” and taking place in two locations, the event has attracted over 180,000 visits and marked a milestone achievement of the local automotive industry.

More than 80 companies and 50 international brands from around the world, as well as over 30 classic and modified cars, have participated in the event, which was officially opened by Under-Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Dr. Bernard Chan, Legislative Council Members the Hon. Mr. Ben Chan, Mr. Vincent Cheng and Mr. Parry Yiu, President of the Hong Kong Automobile Association and Honorary Adviser of IMXHK Dr. Ringo Lee and Honorary Life President of Hong Kong Automobile Association and Honorary Adviser of IMXHK Mr. Wesley Wan.

With the ease of anti-pandemic measures, IMXHK 2022 was well participated by local and international brands. For the first time, the event has adopted an approach of “One MotorXpo, Two Locations”, i.e. apart from car displays at AsiaWorld-Expo, simultaneously a bazaar, busking performances, drifting demonstrations and motor vehicle stunts by local professional drifters and stunt drivers were available at Wonderland of West Kowloon Cultural District.

Packed programmes throughout the exhibition period have added a lot of excitements, which included FIA AP GT E Championship Hong Kong Stop, Award Presentation Ceremony for “Dream Car 2050” Children Art Competition, Miss IMX Final Contest, and performances by cosplay girls, etc.

Furthermore, the Exhibition demonstrated the closer connection between automobiles and technology. The flying bike of XTURISMO, super sports cars such as Pagani Zonda and Huayra, McLaren Senna, and the world’s fastest production car Devel Sixteen, etc., were highlights of the event, drawing a lot of attention from the visitors.

It is expected that the next edition of IMXHK would continue the success story, and IMXHK would be able to further develop into a top-notch auto show that showcases automotive technology and local car culture, offering exhibitors, the media, and visitors a brand-new exhibition experience.

“Riding on the success of last year’s event, IMXHK will work even harder to promote local automotive culture, including the latest technology, latest and the most advanced car models, such as electric cars and supercars, with an aim to provide visitors with unparalleled experiences, while on the other hand, giving an opportunity for brands to reach out to customers and enhance their brand impact,” said Ms. Carmen Au Yeung, Co-Founder and Director of International Motor Show (Hong Kong) Management Limited.
