IMXHK "Dream Car 2050" Children Art Competition
allows local primary school students to meet
world-renowned car designer, boosts creativity and
supports regional STEM development

【Hong Kong, 14 September 2022】 The Hong Kong International MotorXpo (IMXHK) 2022 is back and better than ever! September’s pre-show event will feature the “Dream Car 2050” Children Art Competition for local primary students, which focuses on the future and aspirations. Students can let their imaginations run wild and create their own dream vehicle. IMXHK 2022 will continue to become a magnificent auto industry event and the event’s organiser hopes that in addition to the usual exciting activities and exhibition, children will be inspired to be creative and innovative. The most important is, IMXHK intends to advance STEM education in Hong Kong and increase their knowledge of automobiles. The Children Art Gallery, a display of award-winning artworks, will be featured in the show. 

Legendary supercar designer appointed as Chief Judge, bringing Hong Kong children’s creations to the global standard and putting a spotlight on kid’s portfolios!

The competition’s chief judge is Horacio Pagani, founder of the Italian supercar manufacturer Pagani Automobili S.p.A. 

Horacio Pagani has been a fan of the automotive industry since he was a child, and he began constructing automobiles in the 1980s while still in school. Later on, Horacio Pagani was not only involved in the design of Lamborghini’s famous Diablo sports car, but he was also the first person to foresee that carbon fiber would become the most important material in automobile technology. His message of “do not limit your creativity” aligns with the objective of the “Dream Car 2050” Children Art Competition, which is to inspire innovation and creativity in children. Moreover, the organiser expects Hong Kong children’s creativity to impress this legendary supercar designer.

In addition to Horacio Pagani, the competition would be judged by Dr. Ringo Lee, President of the Hong Kong Automobile Association, Ms. Anna So, Vice Principal of Swallow Art and Cultural Centre, Mr. Ton Ip, Committee Member of Hong Kong STEM Nurture Association and representatives of the organiser. The purpose of the competition is to advance STEM education and showcase Hong Kong kid’s creations on an international stage.

The competition is divided into junior and senior divisions, and gold, silver, bronze, and merit awards would be presented. Mr. Horacio Pagani, founder of Pagani Automobili S.p.A., will award the Gold Award recipients with a certificate and all awardees’ artworks will have an opportunity to be displayed in the Children’s Gallery at IMXHK 2022.

All participants will also receive a HK$200 book voucher and a certificate of participation from DR-Max. About the 2022 International Motor Show in Hong Kong (IMXHK 2022)

Following the success of IMXHK 2021, IMXHK 2022 will be held from December 8-11 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong’s largest automotive event. IMXHK brings together leading car manufacturers, brands, and design gurus with trendsetters under the theme “Mobility +.
